  my son wants to say hi to everyone on the forum.

  as one of the main drivers to us exiting the cult he is very excited about never going to a meeting again.. if i knew how to load pictures i would let you see his plan for christmas lights next year.

  David from Ozzie and Harriet passes away -- ties to JW's?

  david nelson passed away today.. many years ago (50's and 60's) i'd heard that the family had some ties to jw's in some fashion.

  any truth to that one?.

  One of my nephews passed away this evening

  he was 23 years old.

  he was depressed and took his own life.

  no one had any idea he was contemplating something like this.

  I've known three witnesses who have committed suicide and its a heart break because they were all young adults and i didn't see it coming.

  I still think of them and even though iI didn't know your nephew it makes me sad and I wish I knew the right words to say sometimes I'm not sure there are any.

  When he says the seriousness of the arrangement cannot be underestimated I say

  many things have been underestimated obviously that arrangement's seriousness has been apparently underestimated since nobody is doing it hence his twistd statement.

  why do i see so frequently the witnesses referred to as "window washers" on here?

  i have been a witness (though only recently "conscious") for my whole life.

  Japan closed down 638 Congregations losing 5,337 Publishers....any ideas why? Internet?

  japan had incredible increases in the 80's and 90's of 20-30 thousand publishers a year until it collapsed in 1998....figure since then till 2011 have been going down.. 1998 -222,912 publishers -3,802 congregation.

  9 years later.. 2006 -217,519 publishers -3,164 congregations {loss of 5,357 publishers closed 638 congregations} .

  {note that japan publishers average 31 hours a month compared to world 15 hours}.
